Weekend Reading

Weekend Reading

I intend for my weekend to look a lot like this picture. I'm spending the weekend burying myself in bar prep and reading Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare. I haven't had the time to fully dedicate myself to that book, and I know it deserves my attention. If you're looking for some distractions while running errands, here are some of my favorite reads from this week!

I keep promising that I will talk about my planner and my planning methods, and I promise I will. Until then though, here are Day Designer's 10 Essential Ways to Plan a Successful Day.

While on the topic of planning, here are some great ideas for Sunday and how to prepare for the week ahead of you. Personally, Sunday is not a day of rest. I typically use Sunday to meal prep, clean, grocery shop, do laundry...basically all of the errands I have been avoiding all week.

If I could live during any time and place in history, I am torn between Florence during the Renaissance and Paris during the Roaring Twenties. This article brought me a little closer to those Renaissance masters, who I would give my left arm to meet. These are DaVinci's tips for getting stuff done, based on his letters and journals.

Are you planning a vacation but you just don't know where you want to go? Take a look at this article by Buzzfeed which basically outlines my dream trip to New Orleans. My friends and I are planning to go either this fall or early next spring!

And I leave you with this perfect post to get you over the Sunday Night Scaries. Nothing beats a good meme.

If you're interested in the book I'm reading you can check out its GoodReads page here or buy it on Amazon here.
